An event planner goes through so many emotions during an event. Excitement, anxiety, and the adrenaline rush were definitely on the top of the list. All the meticulous plans and work in the previous weeks and months, leading up to the day of the event, will determine the success of it.
The year 2020 feels like this great event where something unexpected happened. Plans had been made, goals set, and there was excitement was in the air.
Many people believed that this was going to be the year that would be different, but then the pandemic appeared.
The one thing that event planners dread, is unexpected storms and strong winds. When this happens, the event planner is hard-pressed in making sure things are under control and the event goes on as planned. Unfortunately, this storm is like no other. This storm is unpredictable. It does not seem to be going away anytime soon. There are no clouds in the sky to suggest it is there, but the winds are so strong, they keep threatening to blow people off their feet. Everyone is holding on tightly to what they believe will prevent them from being swept off their feet.
What battle are you in?
Many people are struggling in one way or another to move forward in spite of the pandemic.
Many are counting losses from jobs, businesses, livelihoods, and sadly even loved ones.
Others are just beginning to accept that some dreams, goals, and plans may not be realized this year. Others are holding on to what they have and trying to make it work.
The uncertainty is all around us in livelihoods, education, relationships, health and so much more.
But there is hope; Do not despair.
